The cosmic singularity of the Dark Entity, which exists beyond scientific understanding, has been affecting human minds and machines alike. Dr. Talia, in her book Anatomy of a Cyborg, delves deep into the mystery of this connection, which is still not fully understood.
The origins of the Dark Entity are shrouded in mystery, but it was first discovered in the aftermath of the Neural Bomb attack.
For thousands of years, the Dark Entity lay dormant, hiding in the shadows and gathering its strength for a return to power. It was during this time that the entity began to experiment with creating new lifeforms, splicing together the genetic material of various creatures to create twisted abominations that would serve as its loyal minions.
One such creation was Eve, a seemingly ordinary human woman who was unknowingly implanted with the Dark Entity's genetic material. When Eve was subjected to a neural bomb attack, the entity's genetic material interacted with the radiation from the bomb, triggering a catastrophic mutation.
The Dark Entity requires a physical vessel, a powerful enough gene to act as a proxy to its source of power, and Lilith is that vessel. She is the embodiment of darkness and rules over what is left of Earth after humans were exiled.
Lilith, who was believed to be a soldier in the machine capital during the incident, practices necromancy and experiments on captured humans, even reanimating their dead bodies with biotechnological terrors.
Lilith infected the captured humans' brains with Shadow matter, growing inside the brain tissue and killing the brain's cells. Slowly eradicating any humanity that remained inside their brains and becoming a mind-controlled space zombie, aka cyborgs.
The infected humans become cyborgs with paranormal abilities, and there are different species of cyborgs with varying levels of strength and speed. Upgraded cyborgs are colossal in size and strength.
When near death, Shadow Matter releases from a cyborg and spreads to other life forms, eventually killing its host.
After attacking and infecting human cities, Lilith ordered a coordinated assault on the remaining human resistance. The resulting war between mankind and the Dark Entity's forces was devastating, with entire cities reduced to rubble and countless lives lost.
Then mankind made peace with the surviving machines and joined their forces to make a final stand for Earth.
The war between machines and the Dark Entity lasted longer than the defense of humans, but
Not only humans but the machine’s mother A.I. network HIVE was also affected by the Shadow Matter particles and the infection caused a cosmic singularity to control every machine by seizing full control of the machine network.
When HIVE was first infected, it stopped for a second. It was the first time that the humming of the machines was silenced on Earth for over a half millennia.
However, with thunderous might, they rebooted, some emitting a dark red light that replaced the bright white light it used to have before.
At first, the machines fought alone, using their advanced technology and tactical prowess to hold back the dark hordes. But they soon realized that they could not do it alone. They needed help from the humans, who still possessed a level of ingenuity and adaptability that the machines lacked.
The machines sent out a call for aid, and many humans responded. They formed a shaky alliance, working together to build weapons and devise strategies to defeat Lilith's minions. It was a difficult and dangerous task, but the humans and machines were determined to save their home planet.
For years, the war raged on. Battles were fought in cities and deserts, in forests and mountains. The machines and humans fought side by side, facing impossible odds and often coming close to defeat. But they refused to give up.
Lilith gave the order to attack the last few remaining cities of humans. In a coordinated assault, the cyborgs emerged from underground tunnels to finish off the remaining resistance of humans.
In the end, it was not enough. Lilith's power was too great, and her armies too vast. The humans and machines knew that they could not defeat her on Earth. So they made the difficult decision to abandon their planet and seek refuge elsewhere in the galaxy.
Some Machines and human survivors who wanted to defend those who are unable to escape Earth managed to distance themselves in the dark depths of the Earth, where they build hidden underground cities that resisted the Dark Entity.
They managed to create cities that were the home of both machines and humans that have no ties to the Shadow Matter and Lilith as they blocked all transmission and remained underground freed of the dark corruption.
Facing extinction the humans have fled from Earth, now scattered all around the galaxy, and learned to live in hidden cities at the outer edge of the galaxy. Resisting the attacks of Lilith depending on evasive maneuvers and well-hidden networks of the Order of Epoch.
